Talking about life and living, Pope Paul VI had the following thoughts to share:"Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying, Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows." Before we move on with the topic, I owe an apology to all my regular readers for going off on a hibernation and powering up after a gap. You, the reader, have been regular in your readings, your feedback, your comments and your brickbats as well. I, on the other hand haven't been as regular as you. All I can say is that sometimes an off is needed to contemplate over things surrounding our... Read more

Vivian Leigh once said that, "Life is too short to work so hard."   [Tweet This Thought]. In keeping with these periods of time available to us in short supply, I present to you something short to inspire you, 50 words to be precise.Six years. Finally, Zack's startup was showing some promise. Zack was tired - no salary or vacation for months and usually no weekends. "You could easily have made a lot of money elsewhere." his friend remarked. Zack smiled, "But the chance to leave your footprints somewhere - before anyone else, is priceless."If you enjoyed this Article, please subscribe via email or RSS FeedsYou could also [Tweet this entire post].Or Stumble this page on Stumbleupon... You will read, but not understand. You will understand, but not do.You will do, but not understand what you did.Does it make a difference?F?@k knows. Truth be told, I never had a good impression about this book when I first saw it. In fact, upon its arrival at my home, the book had to kept under the covers and only read when there was solitude, partly because of the eye-catching color and fonts on the cover page. In many Indian households, the F word is still held as a taboo by the families. I myself was criticized by my mother for reading such books which "play around with the minds of the youth and spoil them." However, as soon as I started reading the first page of the book and continued i... Read more

Dion Boucicault once said that, "Men talk of killing time while time quietly kills them." [Tweet this Thought]. He did have a point when he said this but more than that he had enormous amount of foresight.  Why do I say foresight, you may ask?  That's simply because this single quote/thought holds true regardless of our race, nationality and is valid across various time periods. Time is an essential commodity in a human's life, however, the majority of us fail to efficiently utilize the time which we have on our hands. In keeping with the chaotic and busy lives of all of my readers out there, I'm presenting a short story to you. Ok, so how short is this story? 50 words to be precise and ... Read more

Referring to the subject of constraints, Ronald Reagan once said that,"There are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, no barriers to our progress except those we ourselves erect." Yes, constraints are a way of life and no matter how hard we try, they always keep cropping up in the most unlikeliest of ways. Look around you, there are so many people in your lives who are creating constraints for you every single day. Your boss demands superior performance from you and for that you have to listen to loads of bantering and suffer the wrath of the boss's temperamental side. You're constrained from taking any action. Your clients want top notch delivery and they are ... Read more

Benjamin Franklin once said, “Rebellion against Tyrants is obedience to God.” Profound words and history is witness to this fact. Whenever the levels of injustice, conspiracy, scams, fear and anger have gone up in a country and its citizens, it has always lead to uprisings and rebellions among the daring few. Sometimes, the very protectors of the country take up the task of rebellion, in order to safeguard the larger interest of the entire population. Such is the tale of the book RIP authored by Mukul Deva and not only is this a RIPping account of the Indian Government and its working but it also moves at a ripping pace as well. Here is a hands-on review of the book, RIP. The ... Read more

Create electricity, just by walking to class, to the nearby shopping mall, to that famous tourist spot or to the sea-face. It really is true. In truth, this is the claim being raised by Laurence Kemball Cook and his team from London, United Kingdom. They've come up with a brand new clean and renewable technology solution called as Pavegen, which can harness power from your footsteps. Basically, Pavegen uses the kinetic energy generated from your footsteps and converts them into power and electricity which can be used to run power sockets for charging devices, lighting or learning displays for educational purposes. Currently, Pavegen is being implemented at schools in UK and US because of th... Read more

Let's face it, a lot of us face this problem of forgetting to switch off the lights in the haste to leave from home. It could be leaving for office, for an interview, for your classes, for your date or for your outing with your friends but we are always in a rush to leave our homes to go outside. In all this haste, it is criminal to leave your lights switched on at home. Apart from the electricity bill at the end of the month, it isn't an eco-friendly option either. We can't be found guilty with such actions when actually we should be doing our bit to save the non-renewable sources of energy. So, what do we do then? That's the first question which comes to our minds and Phil Bosua and h... Read more

Have you been pondering over this question for quite some time? Do you have a habit of forgetting important events of your life? The first birthday, the marriage ceremony, the first child, the first job party or the first salary. There are many occasions in one's life, however, we have practically no way of storing that memory (data) in some retrievable form. Agreed, that one can use a camera to click pictures or even to shoot videos but, frankly speaking, how many of us are able to capture the actual events or the emotions or feelings of people present in that event. Apart from the usual posing for pictures, nobody captures life on a minute's scale. In order to really capture the sentiment... Read more

Before and after Shaving Morning after Christmas Eve She was sitting at the coffee shop, waiting for him to turn up. He was late, as usual and this wasn’t the first time either, she was accustomed to this annoying behavior of his. She was just about to get up when she heard the loud noise of music coming from outside and knew instantly that He had turned up finally. He always had the speakers on full volume all the time. She met him outside his car. He and his friends all smoked and despite her constant provoking he did not kick the habit. Not surprisingly, he believed in the philosophy of,“A friend with weed is a friend indeed” Christmas was just over and New Years Eve was just a coup... Read more

Here's a beautiful song, Aicha, originally sung by Khaled in 1996 but which was later sung in 2003 by the Danish Band, Outlandish. This song has been sung in praise of a girl named Aicha.  In the current scenario and instances of rapes occurring in India at this moment, this song goes out as a tribute to all the women which one encounters in one's life. It's about time people learnt to respect their female counterparts. So sweet, so beautifulEveryday like a queen on her throneDon't nobody knows how she feelsAicha, Lady one day it will be realShe moves, she moves like a breezeI swear I can't get her out of my dreamsTo have her shining right here by my sideI'd sacrifice all them tears in m... Morpheus explaining Neo the truth about our World"What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain. This is the world that you know. The world as it was at the end of the twentieth century. It exists now only as part of a neural-interactive simulation that we call the Matrix. You've been living in a dream world, Neo." We all remember these profound words which were spoken by Morpheus while explaining the truth to Neo in the cult-classic movie, The Matrix. The film was in a league of its own and created ripples across the masses when it came out in 19... Read more
