What’s in the name they say, saddened by this wide visible rift between Krazywall and himself (Social worker and ex army man ), he decided to let the young social RTI (Right To Intimidate, as they say) worker to still use the name IAC, but this time its expansion will be "India Again Corruption".  The young brigade is enthusiastic about this decision taken by the old master as this move saves new party’s expenses (money) in getting their party’s already printed banners , gandhian caps,  letter heads and other stationary  from getting reprinted for a new name. Earlier in the daylong meetings at party head quarters, other options for party names were discussed too, includi...

Those who were born in India around 1980s are the folks who have seen the maximum changes Indian society has gone through. I guess the black & white television tops the chart who actually revolutionized the society , the government ran single TV channel DD National & later introduced DD Metro kept India engaged for decades, provided news ,entertainment and everything. And then by late 90's with cable TV's wide arrival everyone tasted unlimited 24 X 7 supply of entertainment (news , movies , TV serials , sports etc ) via various local , foreign channels. It happened only in late 90's when having a land line phone connection became a reality for common masses who ultima...

Vat 69 Pencil Colors – Fills your life with madness of colors What is surrogate advertising ?if you Google the word surrogate, Wikipedia explains what surrogate may closely refer to, it’s mostly the surrogate pregnancy which now a days people are familiar of , an arrangement for a woman to carry and give birth to a child as the actual mother is not able to because of medical inabilities. Those who are into computer programming might have heard terms like COM surrogate, surrogate proxies they also have the same meaning, that's later. The idea is when someone is not able to conceive something it uses an able surrogate to do that something . This is currently being used by many product...

That day I was returning from my office in Gurgaon. It was around 9:30 pm and I was in a DTC bus (no 396) As usual the bus was crowded; people were standing so was I. From AIIMS bus stop one couple got in to the bus. The lady didn't look well may be she was sick , her eyes were scanning the bus for a seat.  No one (males specially) in Delhi buses offers seats to standing ladies if they themselves are sitting on non ladies seats. Everybody thinks that they are following rules as they are sitting on non-ladies  seats, with this they don't even remember if it's courteous leaving their male seats for ladies. So this lady, who just got into the bus from AIIMS stop, was struggling ...

May be you are a ghost; check if you can see yourself in a mirror! Or maybe you are human living in a dream. Scenario 1 You go to work and come back, next day you go to work do same sort of things and comeback again. Your routine was same repeatedly for weeks. You don’t remember any important thing from last few days. You have been, working, delivering work, talking to people F2F, on phone but still you cannot think of that important thing. Lost in such thoughts you start thinking, a planned dream with your eyes open, suddenly you are back in your school days, it’s raining heavily while you are coming from your school in bicycle, books-bag wrapped in that thick polythene sheet, muddy r...

This is a very very short pictorial story about political family values in India. Isn’t that amazing how eating at some poor’s house has been liked over the years ? And still, history repeating itself. The desire to become poor’s voice and the appetite of eating outside hasn’t died. My search in an old magazine resulted in these two b/w & colored pics, they might be unrelated here, so please ignore and excuse me.    Is this Sanskrit Shloka fitting here… ?                    अयंनिज: परोवेतिगणनालघुचेतसाम्।                     उदारचरितानांतुवसुधै...

Dark is the nation and insane the king I wish WB CM didi ji should be given additional responsibility of Food, Agriculture, Petroleum & Housing Loan, real estate departments. These are the sectors where price rise happens almost every day uncontrollable . Everyone knows what she is acting... She yesterday hated and opposed the increase of 2 paisa /KM on railways fare in the general class tickets. This hike roughly means if a poor common man is traveling from Bangalore to Delhi in a passenger train he will have to shell out around 80 rupees extra ( 2000KM * 2 Paisa + some tax), come on common man that’s not too much. And no poor man travels from Delhi to BLR, those who travel can affo...

On one such 11th February evening I asked our neighbor's younger son, hey lucky do you know who invented the ‘Light bulb’, he replied in negative. Lucky was 5’11” tall studying in class IX CBSE board in some school in Delhi , so his expression surprised me; I smiled , gave him few clues and hinted him that he must have studied lots of stories about this famous inventor in junior classes in 5th or 6th standard. After thinking for a while he shamelessly smiled and replied confidently it is either Surya Bulb or Philips Company who made bulb. I knew he was not joking and this was his real level. I said, lucky you AN idiot it's “Edison”, Thomas Alva Edison was the inventor for ...

Blame it on the others ( click on the picture to listen what everyone thinking ) I took this photo in 2007 somewhere in Delhi on my way to home from office (from my office bus, it was hell of a jam).. I finally found a caption for this photograph...India and its roads have not changed a single bit. I am the biggest opposer of those who go office in their empty cars and then block the office parking for whole day. And in the evening these phoney people park their cars outside their apartments/houses etc as their birth right. Keep it up!!!                                                                                                        ...

I got my first desktop computer around 2001 when I was in my engineering days. Since then at the end of every semester I used to carry my desktop computer back home(Haridwar) at the end of semester and then back to college (Dehradun) at the start of semester, in roadways bus yes you read it correct. I mean it, the complete desktop setup, 15 inch Samsung CRT monitor (a very heavy object), the big CPU cabinet (made up of steel); inverter cum battery (a very heavy item), keyboard, mouse, anti glare screen, everything perfectly packed in cartons , wadded up old newspapers for cushioning, and finally tied strongly with nylon strings. Just imagine the silly life without laptops and tablets in tho...

The roots of the Root Canal Treatment (RCT) in my tooth were laid down back in my college days when on a summer afternoon Dr. M.M. Ahluwalia a popular dentist (Retired from Indian Army) near Kalidas Road in Dehradun, diagnosed that small black stain as a probable cavity in my tooth. He later cleaned that stain and filled that small cavity with huge white shiny silver like material which stayed there for almost 2 years. There was no such pain in my tooth but I was just trying to be extra cautious and careful for my future. When I first visited his dental clinic, I got immediately impressed by Colonel's straightforwardness plus popularity more than his expertise(which I realized later) when I...

You got a free gift voucher from someone, which can be a meal coupon of KFC, for BJN group restaurants or it can be a shopping voucher for Coma, Copper's Stop or Adibas, Rebuke etc and now its expiry date is near , you want to encash it asap so you are worried and impatient. If it’s a pure shopping voucher than it’s no problem, you can visit the respective shop, do some window shopping and then quickly go to the billing area and ask one of them silently if they are accepting. IF they say yes, then its great else you do some more window shopping chill inside their AC facility and go home. You can check in somewhere else in a different store. The more worth the voucher carries the more ...

This post is about thinking and taking action to lose weight and gaining fitness of your life time. It’s my second on weight loss and a serious one, earlier was a fun remark(written with some humor). I now have enough evidence to prove that there is no shortcut to lose extra body fat, at the same time it is not at all difficult as they show in TV programs, advertisements and in various magazines. The best and perfect way I found is simply by running early morning.Flashback: I was a sporty person till some 4 years back, before actually moving to Bangalore; I weighted around 72kgs back then. Blame it on the regular ordering of pizzas and biryani in office and mostly eating outside every da...

..many of us are against these road side beggars; I too honestly just hate them, especially young beggars, the commonly found pregnant female beggars at traffic signals, the ones with empty milk bottles begging for milk for their always hanging baby , the young men/beggars dressed in black attire found on Saturday’s, the self proclaimed agents of Shani Dev (the god). But something not very strange, I saw an hour ago, it was one of those disparities from our hollow, hypocrite Indian society. It’s no big deal but that was the female beggar with a weak kid falling/rolling everywhere outside this ‘Veterinary Clinic’ near my room, several other people with their foreign, elite breed dogs ...

Wow!! That sounds interesting if I am getting two extra hours every day, but preferably in the evening. I really do not need my personal extra hours during office, to be honest :). Early Morning Puja : Now a days, I wake up at 4:45 AM before the sunrise when it's still dark outside. I am outside my room tying my shoelaces. You please believe it takes a lot of courage to get up so early and run. Early because you want to avoid pollution and traffic. It was a calm morning until I heard little disturbance in morning breeze. I bent down from my 2nd floor's boundary wall and saw, down there a branch at neighbor’s gate shaking. The street light was there so I could clearly see everything. Suddenly from behind this flowery branch a woman, in early morning jogger’s getup, appeared fully. I don’t think she was aware of now being watched red handed plucking(stealin...

I finished reading this book “The Catcher in the Rye” a 1951 novel by J. D. Salinger, a few months back and I wanted to share my views with others and in fact want to recommend reading it.Honestly this is one of the best timeless classic I have read recently. The book is all about a rich frustrated teenage rebellion who hates the false show off, forced customs and hypocrites in the society. Superb commentary by “JD Salinger” amazingly he touches the innocence and emotional side. The story is all about this teenage protagonist Holden, who doesn’t like schools knows that he is to be expelled from his school, leaves his school alone , spends a couple of days in New York where he mee...
