On a thin paper, is there a saga.  Sentence I am, a part of that tale,  Started in caps, ends as a period,  Scribbling across, all that's my part.   Standing as one, spaces apart, Senseless at all, those letters I use.Grouping it once, spacing it then, Deep in the mind, they play my role.  Putting across, the tale of a life,Beauty of which, lie in its moral, Neither the ink, nor is the stroke, Is that I care, for meaningful words.  The sentence I am, is brief in it's length, I better chose, best of my words. On a thin paper, is there my sentence.  Part of a tale, that lives for ever.Image courtesy : http://goinswriter.com/ via Google Image Search... We all turn teachers at one point of time in our life. Some do it by chance other chose it as a career. In my case, I do it with pride every day. It’s a lot of fun and rewarding to throw light at the darker paths of life in order to educate, motivate, encourage and equip people to walk through and conquer unmapped heights. That’s the most beautiful part of the career I chose. And another best part is that I get to learn something new every day for passing it on to someone at some point of time in my career. Enticing isn’t it? As people say, knowledge, the biggest wealth on earth, can neither be destroyed nor preserved, can only be transferred from one person to another which in the pr... Read more

There was a dog by name Chakko who live close to the river with his master Baradwaj. Chakko by nature was a lazy old dog. He was too old that he didn't really have any desires left. He was happy with the very little basic shelter and needs Baradwaj would offer and be content with it. Being a very economical deal, Baradwaj was happy to keep Chakko at his service and Chakko inturn would try his best to please his master. Over a period of time they had developed a symbiotic relationship. In due course, when his master had started a new farm that reared race-horses, a few more well trained wach dogs were hired for taking care of the farm. Chakko being the seniormost was assigned the head of horse... Read more

As Kashmi rubbed the sleep off her face and looked at the rising sun through the window, she realized she was already late. As she thought of her little baby at home, she could hardly hold the urge to get back. But then, she knew she hasn't yest finished at work and might have to stay back until she's completed. It's just one month since Kashmi gave birth to a baby girl. As a single mother with no one to look after, she had no other choice but to get back to work at the earliest. Following delivery, the day she felt she could move around without much difficulty, kashmi got back to her routine. Had she chosen not to, she would starve and so would her newborn.Every evening, as she left for job,... Read more

Have you ever been to a slaughterhouse? If not, please do visit once. There, you'll see men, usually in their blood drenched clothing, standing among the chunks of meat that hangs from the side hooks. When they get an order, they lay the meat on their chopping block and skillfully cut, weigh and hand it over to the customers in exchange for money. Apart from the the yield and the money they earn, they need not think on why this particular animal was chosen or if there is a clear and valid indication for it being on the table. Nice job right? It's easy to train them too. If one has the heart to do the job, he/she only needs to join as an apprentice. As things are, there's no ... Read more

Here's something for you to try: Try articulating it like you would with other tongue twisters. Then try it again with eyes closed. Once you have got that right, think of an answer. :)" IF RED IS READ AS BREAD AND THREAD IS READ AS RED, CAN BREAD BE RED AS THREAD?"A friend calls her blog RED HANDED. The name fascinates me as much as her blog posts and is the inspiration behind this twister.. ... Read more

This is an excerpt from the diary entry I made on the morning after a busy duty, a few years back.I'm about to finish my 24 hours duty. Will have to pull on till Dr X turns up and can return back to my quarters. Yesterday was hectic and not a single minute I could sleep last night. I had 4 patients in the ICU, 53 patients in the ward, 20 new admissions and 7 causality calls. God alone knows, how many hours it's going to take in handing over the previous night to Dr X.Image courtesy: kevinmd.comMy dear diary, I'm sad. A patient admitted yesterday for close monitoring and evaluation in our FMW is no more. I know, this is not the first time we are losing patients. I have not m... Read more

[This is a piece of writing that I found in one of my old notebooks. Though I wrote it in pain, distress and hatred, today, this teaches me an invaluable lesson as a budding medical teacher. Sharing it with you all  as it is. No offence for the words used. A note for the teacher in the context: If you haven't changed, and wish to change at-least now, do it, for you were a total failure then . Else stop teaching.] "Roll no: 7 - 6 out of 15 - as usual very poor." My teacher was distributing answer sheets of a history test that I was sure to flunk. I rose from my chair and hesitantly walked towards the teacher who by now was ready with a cane pulled out from the class cupboard... Read more

*World cleavage day!I don’t know why it’s celebrated and who celebratesit. But all I know: it’s all about breast and hence this post is going to be onbreast, BREAST CANCER in specific. Now that I have your attention, before I share the link to the topless lady's picture, I'll talk a little about few myths that commonly prevail about breast cancer and then move on to the current breast cancer screening recommendations.1Myth: Men can’t get breast cancerTruth: Though statistically low in number, men can develop breast cancer. At least 500 men die every year from breast cancer. So breast self examination is a must for men as well. 2Myth: Allbreast lumps are cancerous.Truth:... Read more

Last month when my friend Liva, whoworks for a foreign based porn company came down(wait. don't waste time Googling her name. She is known by a different screen name in the industry), we met at a friendsparty and dined together. There, Iintroduced her to few of my close male friends and they were all droolingbehind her since then. It was so obvious that each and every onethere was trying their best for a chance to dip their fork into herplate.Though there were times that I feltuncomfortable when my friends were crossing the limit with theirwords, she eased me with her attitude and laughing at the dirty sarcastic jokes they cracked. May be she got used to it or shetried to give the amount of... Read more

Dear Doctor,I have made up my mind to like you deeply and passionately. It's a kind of like that I have never liked anybody before. No, not love anyway. At least not yet. But I love the way I like you.Last few days I spent with you, basking in the warmth of love and care, I swayed and slept in peace. It is only my faith in you that pulled me bold through the toughest times of my life that hung on a string until a few hours back.Your mere proximity and soothing smile gave me the courage to go on and was as important as the concoctions you prescribed for my well being . Doc, did you know it was your healing touch that did wonders which you credited to the strongest analgesics? Every w... Read more

After a series of events that surprised me with an unusual ".in" instead of ".com" on some Indian blog URLs (and finally mine), a fellow blogger clarified things today.Google is migrating its Blogger Top Level Domains from ".com" to localized domains in some countries like India. This will help Google to filter/ block/ remove contents complying with the local law and regulatory.Which indirectly means: We will not be able to read a blog that does not meet the criteria set forth by a censor board while it will be on net for the rest of the world. We are soon going to have an on looker Big Brother closely watching and telling us what to read/write and what not to. :(... “One of the best inventions of mankind is the PEN.” I’m sure this is a statement that anybody will accept without a second thought. Since the ancient Indians, way back in 500 BC or earlier, developed a writing material out of the naturally available bird feathers and bamboo sticks, it has been the most widely used innovation by human race.Encyclopedia defines a pen (Latin penna, feather) as a device used to apply ink to a surface, usually paper, for writing or drawing . But it fails to mention that pen has been the instrument that stood the test of time and prevailed for centuries, undergoing major changes as it itself being the first witness of all the other  scientific inn...
